I watched on TV a Chinese movie called 'The house of the flying daggers' and the dagger happened to be none other our very good old khukuri. I just wonder if the film makers have acknowledged the use of khukri which belongs to Nepalis.

Khukri- hamro jati ko adhar, hamro chinhari. Hamro astitwa. Vir Gorkhali ko birta ko pratik. Ek palta sacho man le Khukuri dharan garera harnu hawas- afai taha paunu hunecha yesko chamatkar.... Hatma khukuri ra himal jasto darhilo man leyara hame lai kunai pani asadhya kam lai pura garna sakchau......rifle bata chaleko goli miss huna sakscha tara khukuri le takeko satru ko gardan lai god le pani bachaunu sakdaina bhanne kura aja pani sachu cha.Pahila bhanintheu ki khukuri ama ra gai lai chodera sab mathi prahar garne sakincha. Tara aaja ko paridrishya ma yasma 'bekasur' pani jornu parla. Haina ra.... Jai Gorkha Jai Gorkhaland.

Khukri must be used against enemies,to fight against injustice,evil and to save the the life and property of helpless and down trodden but now days it is being used just for the opposite purposes, that should be stopped and that assignment should be taken by this very group "KHUKRI".

No doubt, Khukuri is our identity but at preset it has not helped us to achieve our dream. Now we must realize that gardening requires lots of water most of it in the form of perspiration. Then only we can convert our dream into reality.
